Best Practices Regarding the Annual Assessment of Outreach

Federal contractors are required to conduct an annual assessment to determine whether their outreach and recruitment efforts have been successful.  The assessment must include the criteria an organization used to evaluate the effectiveness of its efforts, and a conclusion as to whether outreach efforts were successful.   The assessment is an important part of each AAP for protected veterans and IWDs, and OFCCP will focus on the results of an organization’s efforts during compliance reviews.

We will cover accommodations under the ADA and cover reasonable considerations to help guide employers on best practices. For Affirmative Action employers, the area of greatest potential liability is in recruiting and hiring practices. Starting with a foundation in the definition of an applicant, this presentation will outline the steps that Federal contractors and subcontractors should take to examine their processes to ensure compliance with OFCCP guidelines. Learn which common pitfalls to avoid, recordkeeping requirements, how to perform an adverse impact analysis, and best practices for documentation and proof of compliance.
